The message of the month is usually the message that shows us the direction that God is taking us for the month, but we carry them into the rest of our live. You don't leave anyone for the month. You take them into your life.
Am gonna read to you a few verses of scripture.
Job 9:33KJV
Neither is there any daysman betwixt us, that might lay his hand upon us both.
He says here that he didn't have anyone to stand between him and God. But that was his days. We have Jesus now. Thank God Jesus came.
Isaiah 59:16KJV
And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.
1 Timothy 2:1- 4 KJV
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Ephraim 6:18-20KJV
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Gal 4:19KJV
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.
The reason I read these scriptures to you is so that you will know how God wants an intercessor.
There is a word the Lord is bringing to my spirit, it's a complex Greek word *'Synantilambanomai'.* It is the Word translated as 'helpeth' in Romans 8:26KJV
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
To strive to obtain together with.
When we are interceding for someone, we are standing in the gap for someone who is unable to help himself. The Spirit carry out this ministry through us.
If you are interceding for someone who is sick, it's not God who made the person sick. We are not trying to convince God to save him, remember he sent Jesus even without you requesting for it. We do this because we are on the same side with God. Jesus is our advocate with the Father. He is our lawyer helping us take a hold of what belong to us. Remember Jesus prayed for Peter.
When we are interceding we are taking hold together with the Lord against the forces of darkness trying to deny us our rights. We join the Lord to enforce His purpose on earth.
Things are not going to change by wishing things changed. No, you have to take a hold together with the Lord against.
Acts 26:15 - 18 KJV
15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
2 Corinthian 4:3 - 4 KJV
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them
Take your stand this month. We have the name of Jesus and no one else has the right to the name like we do. Do you have someone who you want saved and it looks like it has not been working? Just write the person's name and demand that the devil takes his hand off of that individual and that's it. It's the same for the sick.
It also goes beyond praying for someone who the devil has a hold on, you also pray for those who you want to grow in the things of God.
This month is the month of *INTERCESSION.* We are going to be praying like never before, we will pray for the unsaved, for the sick, for the weak.
Learn to pray for your Pastors as well, your leaders. This is because you need them, they are helping you in the things of God.
Hebrew 13:17 - 18 KJV
17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
*Two Reasons Paul asked for him to be prayed for.*
1 That utterance to preach the Gospel be granted him
2. Because the church needed him
This is called the exercise of prayer.
